Charcoal Production
We use the most environmentally friendly charcoal kilns with an efficiency of at least 28% and load with felled wood from sustainable woodlands within 50 miles. This helps to fund privately owned woodlands and small businesses working in our supply chain.
During our Charcoal making process, we burn off all gases in our firebox to save fuel and also makes the process cleaner. Biochar and Wood Vinegar are bi-products of our charcoal so help our circular economy.
Oxford Charcoal has been committed to the COP26 targets since 2013, so enjoy our Charcoal and be proud that every time you buy from us you saving 4 tons of CO2 compared to imported.

Packaging
We have been using paper bags since 2013 top pack our Charcoal and have not deviated for costs, we have recyclable jute bags for Big and little logs. We deliver locally using our own vans saving unnecessary CO2 between shipping partners and customers.
